Below is a list of resources for global education projects and connects NYC teachers with organizations within their community that can help support their schools that I feel can be especially useful:
The New York City Department of Cultural Affairs
Provides the NYC community with cultural organizations within the city. This website highlights upcoming cultural events and includes a calendar of future events.
The leading educational organization dedicated to promoting mutual understanding and strengthening partnerships among peoples, leaders and institutions of Asia and the United States in a global context. The Society provides insight, generates ideas, and promotes collaboration to address present challenges and create a shared future. One such event that is coming up is The Global Education Forum.

The home of a great program called Global Classrooms, which offers New York City K-12 students an array of curriculum-based learning opportunities focused on workshops that are based on face-to-face exchanges with the Global Guides and incorporate interactive presentations and discussions, as well as the use of media and technology to enhance the learning experience.

Members are in New York and New Jersey and together make up an association of international educators that are invested in the advancement of international education and exchange. And the 2015 Region X Conference is happening in nearby Long Island this year! (Just 2 and a 1/2 hours from the Bronx)
